If you’re flying in – here’s a few tips.  San Francisco Airport (SFO), Oakland Airport (OAK), and San Jose Airport (SJC) are the local airports.

I’m a big fan of Sidestep.com (www.sidestep.com), mainly because it allows you to put in your initial time and airport, but then it will give you the results showing the other options for airports, etc.  Sometimes you can save a lot of money choosing a slightly different airport to leave from or land into.
