Spy Game – August 9th, 2009 – Tim Lincecum Going for Cy Young #2

Tim Lincecum - SF Giants.com
I’m going to keep this short and sweet this week.
- The Giants are only 5.5 games behind the Dodgers.
- Freddy Sanchez has been the man and has been a great pick up.
- Tim Lincecum won his NL leading 13th game.
Oh yes – the Giants are improving and are definitely going for it.
Honestly, I still don’t know if they can win the World Series, but if the Dodgers slip in the next month, they may make it interesting. The Dodgers need to take at least 2 of three this week in SF to push the Giants down a little.
I’m going to do a post on each game this week – so stay tuned.

Lincecum did NOT win his 13th game. BWilson stumbled in the 9th and Lincecum received yet another no descison….otherwise known as a “workout”.
Even if my Giants catch the Dodgers….I find it hard to think that we could win the Series. The Giants offense has had sparks of potential but it seems difficult to catch fire.
GO GIANTS!

Hey Joe – thanks for the catch. Obviously I didn’t see the end of that game. I stand corrected. I fully agree on the Series. The Giants have the pitching, but if they get down in a game, they just can’t seem to catch up. Now the Dodgers on the other hand…:)
