Rafael Furcal - Brian Vander Brug - LA Times

Humming the Sonny & Cher song…” And the Beat goes on…And the Beat goes on.”

Man I love being up there when the Dodgers sweep a series.  The Giants fans just have nothing to say.  They actually hide a little from me because they know I’ll say something like, “Heck of a series, eh?”

I actually had a Giants fan tell me yesterday, “At least there’s only 11 games left against the Dodgers…”

The problem last night was that the Sharks played the Ducks in the NHL playoffs .  The Sharks are the only good team up here so they were on 4 channels, but no Dodger game.  I caught the highlights, but the Giants just errored their way to letting the Dodgers win it.  It’s amazing how well the hitting is doing even without Manny being a major piece.  I like that a lot because at some point he will carry things, so at least he can find his rhythm now.

The best part of this game was a nugget I found in the local papers today.  The San Jose Mercury re-capped the game by saying this:

“First, the good news: The Giants have plenty of talent to challenge the Dodgers once more.  Now, the bad news: It’s assembled at Class A San Jose. So check back in 2011 or so.”

Nuff said.  Man it’s good being a Dodgerfan right now.
