Sergio Romo on MLB.com

So my sister Erin and her husband Bryan work at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Co.  Last year at the beginning of the year, they were talking about this guy Sergio Romo who they knew from Mesa who was now in the Giant’s organization.  They said he was a good guy, and since I lived in Giant’s territory, they said to look for him.  They also said that he was a neat story because his folks worked in the fields down in So. Cal.  It was his goal to make the majors, but to also make enough to get them out of the fields.  Cool story, and I couldn’t help but root for him, despite playing for the Giants.

Now that the year is down, I can say that the guy is a stud.  The one team he consistently shut down was the Dodgers.  He was lights out against them.  I dreaded when he was brought in because I knew he would shut down the blue crew.
